Let’s talk about your job.
Most likely, it’s a very big part of your life. Maybe you absolutely love going to an office every day in your sassy, urban-professional outfit. Maybe you went back to school to study yoga to fulfill a dream of becoming a yoga instructor. Or maybe you get up everyday, roll out of bed, throw your hair up in a ponytail and drag yourself to work for no reason other than that you really need the paycheck. And – let’s be serious – what else are you going to do all day, every day, at this point in your life?
Whatever the reason, work, your career, your “job” – whatever you want to call it – is probably a huge part of your life right now. And because it’s such a big part of your life, it’s sure to come with some challenges. Whether you’re trying to decide which career path to take or you found an awesome job and you’re trying to figure out how to achieve a promotion or how to manage your finances, we could definitely all use a little guidance in this department.
Last week I did just that when I sat down with Gen Y career expert, Lindsey Pollak, to discuss all things career related as well as her new project in conjunction with The Hartford, offering young professionals a Real World Road Map as well as important tools to help prepare for the future.
Take a look at the video clip to see part 1 of my interview with Lindsey and stay tuned for more next week. Question 1 – You always hear people say that your twenties are a time to experiment when it comes to dating….is the same true for your career?
Hope you enjoy the video!
